GDPR and Data Protection
Much of the best practice associated with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Data Protection Act 2018 is based on the Data Protection Act 1998. That said, GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 introduce new elements and provide an opportunity for organisations to review their current data protection and privacy practices. Bournemouth School for Girls, for the purposes of the Data Protection Act 2018, is the Data Controller. Our Data Protection Officer is Mrs Katherine Jackson who can be contacted at kjackson@bsg.bournemouth.sch.uk. Bournemouth School for Girls is registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office.
