2022 – A Record-Breaking Year
Despite the effects of the pandemic, our students’ success went from strength to strength putting our GCSE and A Level attainment in the top 2% nationally
1st in Dorset, 4th in the South West, 65th in the UK*
With such a turbulent few years, we were more than pleased to see record-breaking results from last academic year.
Nationally in 2022, BSG sits within the top 100 UK schools for GCSE attainment (GCSE Grades), and the best overall GCSE grades in Dorset. We also are proud of the fact that students don’t just get high grades, but also make exceptional progress, with our school in the top 20% for progress from Key Stage 2 nationally.
The recent *Sunday Times Schools Guide 2022 (published December 2022), puts BSG in the top 4 State Schools in the South West and 65th in the UK (out of approximately 3460 state secondary schools).
These impressive results are a testament to the effort and ambition of our students, supported by expert staff including through the COVID19 pandemic.
