Join Us in Shaping the Future of STEM in the Southwest
In just two years, BSG Robotics and its Southwest Hub have grown into a regional, national, and international award-winning initiative—and we want YOU to help us continue this journey! Each year, our robotics programme at Bournemouth School for Girls directly mentors 80 young people, equipping them with essential engineering and technical skills such as mechanical design, software development, and project management. More than just robots, we’re developing tomorrow’s STEM leaders right here in the Southwest, with strong links to the regional tech industry.
We’ve earned a dozen awards, including international recognition for the quality of our students/teams. As the Southwest Hub for FIRST UK, we also support over 30 teams across the region, training mentors and helping students thrive in the FIRST Tech Challenge UK (FTC) program. Since our founding, FTC UK has supported more than 500 young people in the SW directly and BSG Robotics recently been honoured with the Tech South West TeachTech Award 2024 for excellence in STEM education.
We’re looking for partners to help grow the club and expand our reach. Whether it’s through mentoring, providing industry experiences, sponsoring a team, or speaking at our events, your involvement can make a difference. Just £300 could fund a team’s entry for a season, directly impacting disadvantaged and underrepresented young people in STEM.
Together, let’s inspire, engage, and prepare the next generation of tech innovators. Are you ready to join us?
